Emu in the Sky

Rising above the hills is the "Aboriginal Emu in the Sky" constellation. Indigenous people recognised the dark regions of the sky to resemble an Emu. The Emu in the sky has been part of Aboriginal dreamtime stories for thousands of years. The Southern Cross appears at top center image.
