What we do
As the husband and wife team of Paul and Sylvia Mayo, we reside under the dark Australian night skies of Coonabarabran in New South Wales, the "Astronomy Captial of Australia" from where we use an armada of astrophotography telescopes and professional photo equipment to capture the universe from some of the darkest skies in the world. We push cameras and optical equipment to their limits revealing the universe around us in stunning detail. Our best photography is then available from our on-line shop in a variety of formats including professionally framed photographs, professionally mounted photographs and wall-sized photo prints. They are real space photographs, professionally presented to IMPRESS and INSPIRE in your home or office décor.

Deep Space Photography
It’s been a life-long passion… photographing the universe, it’s challenging and tests us and our equipment to its limits. Our large telescopes give us a way to see into the universe around us. Our cameras give us a way to show you. Cameras attached to the telescopes take exposures lasting hours revealing distant celestial objects in outstanding detail and color. Our interest lies in the deep sky where distant star clusters, nebula and galaxies are found.
Professional Framing
Our finest work is available in framed, mounted or photographic print. All framing and mounting work is performed in our frame shop delivering the highest quality frames and mounts possible. Our frames are high quality custom made sealed timber frames with matching mat board surround. Mounted photographs are fixed to a backing board with mat surround and are ready for framing or display. Photographic prints up to poster size are also available.
We can photograph your Star
Our pro telescope can take professional photographs of any star that you've named through a Name a Star registry. It's the perfect gift or keepsake.
